I have been tattooing since 2001. I started my apprenticeship at Ink Addiction Tattoo under Mike "dago" Garcia, I had only been tattooing six, maybe eight months before not only did my mentor but I also ended up getting fired for ludicrous reasons only weeks apart. Under strange circumstances I moved to Omaha, Nebraska and found a shop that would agree to re-apprentice me.
I spent two and a half/almost three years at Nuclear Ink under the training of Jesse Neese learning how to make needles, tattooing, and the ins and outs of sterility and the business itself. It was a great experience for me and helped me grow as an artist, and as a person. I felt as if I hit a plateau, so I moved on to pursue other ventures and other states.
I ended up in Longview, Texas and found a job with an artist named Rikki Bailey at his shop Garage Art Studios. I spent almost a year there, but Iowa kept calling me back. So, I came home and thanks to a friend I got a job at Sacred Skin Tattoo. I learned a large amount about color theory, linework, and more about my machines which improved my work greatly. I worked at two different locations for around four years before just feeling the same plateau feeling again.
I stayed in Iowa, and moved to Skin Kitchen Tattoo for around a year, back to Sacred skin for about a year, then back to Skin Kitchen for eight months. Somewhat burnt by two different sides of the industry mentally, I decided to go someplace that fit me and my type of personality and tattooing.
I didn't think it would be in my own hometown, but I found Bigfoot Tattoo to be a perfect fit. in the eleven months here I have made some lifelong friends, and imorved my tattooing tenfold in a very short amount of time.
I love all styles of tattoos, and am always willing to work with anyone to get them the best piece of art possible. I enjoy color realism and portraiture down to traditional and neo-traditional work.
I don't pigeonhole myself, I can do all styles of work and love it all
come on in and get some killer work for the newest member of the bigfoot crew
